Does it get on your nerves when people use "hun" all the time?

There's this girl I know, my age, who's a chronic user of the horribly hackneyed "HUN". She has this really high-pitched shrieky voice, and this embellished bubbliness and enthusiasm and joyfulness about her. "Okaaaaaaaay hun!!" "Hun, it's sooooo great to see you, hun, ohhhhh!!" It's utterly depressing. She sounds like this shrill, cacophonous, overbearing mother superior. I know what you're thinking, you're thinking that I need to stop being so bleak, and cynical, and derisive, but it's not like that at all. There's a hint of patronization in the constant use of "hun" to address people your own age, and that's what's annoying. Do you agree?
