Ladies, when you are on your period do u have a hard time sleeping at night?

I started spotting on Saturday morning, but it got heavier towards the evening, and oh my God at night I could not sleep! Every time I moved I felt it ewww, you know how that is! ladies, how do you sleep when your on in? I sleep on both my sides, switching back and forth whenever my arm gets sore. In my opinion its hard sleeping on my back when I'm on my period.
