What is the nature of the relationship one should have with Allah?

ALLAH (SUBHAANAHU WA TA’ALAA) is not dependent on our worship for him neither is he dependent on our charity for the poor. He calls us through a path so that we can be nearer to his blessings through our worship, charity, kindness and other good deeds. It is like, there are paths leading to my house. And I tell people that if they want to come to my house faster they should choose so and so path. Thus, I am not dependent on people’s choice of path but it was for people’s own good if they obeyed me to reach to me faster. In the same manner, ALLAH (SUBHAANAHU WA TA’ALAA) calls out to us to reach out to him faster by obeying his laws and commands and he is in no way dependent on our good deeds. If we do good deeds, it is for our own good as we would reach out to him faster. When ALLAH (SUBHAANAHU WA TA’ALAA) tells us that doing so and so deed would take us to hell, it is like I am telling the people who want to come to my house that they should not come through so and so path as that does not lead to my house and that the path has dangerous snakes and scorpions. When ALLAH (SUBHAANAHU WA TA’ALAA) says to us that so and so deed will take us to Hea-ven, it is like I tell the people that if they want to come to my house in the most refreshing manner, they choose so and so path as it will also bring them to me very fast compared to other paths.
