Re: African and Caribbean ppl?

Those two paragraphs about Caribbeans and Africans are true. However, I think that people from the Caribbean have seemed to retain more of their African cultural heritage more than African Americans. I've eaten Jamaican food and it's almost identical to the various African dishes I've had. Some parts of Haitian and other Caribbean culture seems to be derived from African, specifically West African, cultures (ie. dances and other traditions).
