I got a bogus ault charge, what do I do?

I got drunk at my friends house and she was drunk too. I broke a gl candle above her fireplace by accident, and while she was sweeping it up she stepped on the broken gl and started bleeding. Then she got pissed at me and punched me in the eye and locked me outside. The neighbors called the cops cuz of all the noise. The police arrested me across the street and then left me in the backseat while they went in and asked her what happened. When they saw her foot was bleeding they said, "Oh, that's ault! We're gonna charge him with ault!". She tried to explain: "He never touched me! I actually punched him in the eye, so if anyone's guilty of ault it's me. I just accidentally stepped on broken glass while i was cleaning it up". "Oh no, we're gonna take him down to the jail and charge him with assault!". So, I was in jail for 12 hours, and then released on NCF (No Carges Filed) but when I talked to the court they told me they may still be sending out an order to show up for...
